Free Dress Down for Middle School Students

Dress Down Days
Logos will schedule dress down days several times during the school year. Students are free to choose what they wear, but they should reflect Christian modesty and neatness.
You may wear jeans, slacks, capris, skirts, shorts, or dresses.  Skirts, shorts, and dresses should not be any shorter than two inches (5 cm) above the knee. Leggings may be only be worn under skirts or dresses. Sleeveless shirts and tops are acceptable if the sleeves are at least three inches in width and the top is modest. Low-cut tops that reveal cleavage or shirts that reveal the midriff should not be worn to school.

LPA Community Day

All families are invited to attend the Logos Community Day, August 31st. Come to the school campus for a prayer walk to lift up our children, teachers, and school,  from 1-2 pm. And then stay until 4 pm for an afternoon of swimming, games, and fun.
Free childcare will be provided for children between the ages of 1-5. Please consider bringing a snack to share with everyone!  Because this is a parent-organized event, children must be accompanied by an adult while on campus.

After School Program Cancellation

Baseball will be cancelled next Friday, Sept. 6, due to Logos activities.  Thank you for your consideration.

  • Q & A time

When: Tuesday, September 3 at 3:30pm
Where: Logos International Multi-Purpose Room

Help Your Immune System!
An unhealthy diet and not enough sleep can also affect the immune system and lower resistance to illness. Normally our bodies can fight off organisms before we get sick. However, staying up late, cramming for an exam. or eating too many cheeseburgers and fries can wear our bodies down. Poor nutrition and not getting good rest can weaken the immune system. Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables can prevent health problems. Drinking water helps prevent dehydration and helps flush out the body. Sleep is crucial to maintaining your child’s health. Sleep is the body’s time to repair and rejuvenate itself.
Stay Home if You’re Sick!
We can take many actions that can help guard our children’s bodies against these infections and build up their immune systems to make them strong and resistant to illness. However, if they do get sick, remember to keep them home until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours. It is typical when a child runs a fever that the fever is elevated in the evening and lower in the morning. So if they had a fever (38C or 100.4F or higher) prior to going to bed that evening, they should probably stay home the next day from school. This is to keep from infecting others and spreading the illness further.
